Dark Secrets

  It was a dark night in New York City, and a young man by the name of Chris Williams was walking around. He is a 28 year old male, and the son of a millionaire. He’s six foot tall, with black shaggy hair. He has some bags under his eyes from not sleeping well, he drinks a lot and from depression. Assuming alcohol will change that. He thinks he can do whatever he wants because of his money, and thinks he can get away with anything. But he is overly cocky, stuck up, and self-entitled to really do anything.
  He was walking around the city when he hears a scream come from an alleyway not too far from where he was. Rushing over, he spots two figures, one looks male, and the other female. The young female has the male against the wall with blood splattered on his shirt. She looks over and sees Chris and instantly vanishes. Chris walked over and noticed all the blood coming from the mans neck. He thinks it over, and looks over the mans body.
  On his neck were two small bite marks, cut deep into his flesh. Accept they didn’t look like normal bite marks from regular teeth, they were vampire marks, realizing now what that girl is. A Vampire.
  The young woman ran off so far, she got almost to the other side of New York within minutes. She was a tall girl, about five foot nine. She had long blonde hair with ocean blue eyes. Until she was hungry that is. Her name was Iris Love. She lives in New York with her husband Justin, and her daughter, Jade. She works at a fashion company as the manager, and designer for the clothes. At only 21 years old, she is well known by many people in the city. Many come to just try and see her, and get some fashion advice.
  Back with Chris, he was thinking about what he had seen. Then he gets an idea. To use her abilities to get what he wants done, quick and easy.
  He decides to go out the next night to try and find her. With no luck, he decides to head back home. Till he hears a scream, once again, from an alleyway. Rushing over and spotting the young girl with her next victim, he tosses a bottle with a note inside it, then running off.
  Hearing the bottle drop, Iris snaps the mans neck and walks towards the sound. She was looking around till she found the bottle on the ground. Opening it, the note read, “Meet me at this alley tomorrow night, unless you want your secret to be known by everyone, vampire.”
  Freezing where she stands, Iris is shocked that she was so careless to let someone else know about her, let alone let them see her hunting her prey. Then she gets an idea, to find and attack him before its too late.
  Her hearing is more powerful than any human’s, and so she is able to track where he was walking to. Following the sound of his foot steps, she comes near an apartment building, heads upstairs and waits for him to fall asleep. She brought a gun in case he wakes up while she tries to get his blood, and if she doesn't escape in time, she needs a different way to get rid of him.
  As she is about to bite his neck, she gets kicked against the wall. Instantly drawing her gun and pointing at him. Chris has his same cocky smug grin on his face.
  “Hello, I've been expecting you,” he said
  “Who are you and what do you want?” Iris said, still holding her gun towards him.
  “Why, to make a proposition for you, I have seen your abilities and am very impressed with your strength.”
  “Get to the point, before I blow your head off” she said shaking the gun at him. “What do you know about me?”
  “I know plenty,” he said getting out of bed and walking over to her. “I have seen you the past two nights, attacking innocent people, getting only one thing from them. Blood”
  Iris was getting very agitated. Putting her finger on the trigger and holding the gun to his head, “What do you want? Before I decide to kill you where you stand?”
  “I have a proposition for you, you see,” he says walking to the window. “I am the son of a millionaire, and I know that if you kill me, people will notice and try and track you down. So unless you want that to happen, or me to tell your precious secret, you will do what I say, without question or hesitation. Understood?” Iris doesn't want anything to ruin her, so she decides to agree to his deal, in hopes that he will keep her secret safe.
  At first, Chris only sends her to do simple tasks. Such as getting laundry, or getting his grocery’s. But then after awhile, he starts to send her to attack on people. That's where she decides to draw the line.
  “I never agreed to hurt anybody, or kill for that matter!” Iris said with anger in her voice.
  “Have you forgotten what I told you? If you refuse, your little secret will be told to everyone. And I’m sure you don’t want that, because then everyone will be afraid of you."
  Iris starts to think a little bit, she thinks he’s bluffing, and that he really won’t spill her secret. “I don’t believe that you will do that, that you’re just bluffing and won’t do anything.” She says to him.
  “Oh? You don’t think that I will? We’ll see about that.” Opening his laptop, she see’s pictures of herself attacking innocent people.
  “You wouldn't dare”
  “Wouldn't I?” Putting his finger over the send key
  “Fine, I’ll stay, but no more killing, I can’t risk anymore”
  “And why do you think that it will stop me from sending you to do so? I have the pictures and the connections, you have no choice but to do what I say.” He says with his smug grin. “Now, I shall let you know when I need you again, leave and go back to your husband and daughter.”
  Iris headed home and saw her husband, Justin, sitting in the living room. He was looking a little worried and upset. “What’s wrong Justin?” She asked sitting next to him.
  “Where have you been disappearing to everyday? I mean, you don’t tell me where you’re going, and I’m getting worried.”
  “I can’t tell you Justin, its really complicated.”
  “Why can’t you tell me?” he says as he holds her hand. “You can always tell me anything Iris, you know that.”
  “I know, but, I don’t think it will be a good idea, I can’t let you get involved in this, it would hurt to much if you got involved, please try and understand that.”
  “Alright” he says sighing. “But, whatever you’re doing, be careful, I don’t want to see you get hurt if it’s something you are doing for work.”
  “I won’t, I promise. Come on, lets get some sleep, you look beat after today.” She says walking to the room with him.
  A couple days pass and Iris hasn't heard anything from Chris. Thinking that he had forgotten about her and the deal, she finally has some time to relax. But she then she receives a message from him. He wants her to kill off his father so he can have the family fortune all to himself. He informs her that if she does this last task, she will be free from the blackmail, and everything will be as it was before.
  Iris agrees to do it, but doesn't realize that Justin has followed her to find out what she has been up to. They come up to a big mansion with lots of windows and a huge yard. There are no security camera’s or guards, so it should be easy to get inside.
  She makes it inside and starts to head to the room where Chris’s father is sleeping. As usual, she brought a gun in case she can’t finish it the way she would like to. Finding the door and heading inside, Iris doesn't realize that Justin has been following her and is just around the corner. She is too focused on this last task to notice his footsteps or breathing. As Iris is just about to bite the mans neck, when Justin see’s her and tells her to stop.
  “Justin? What are you doing here?”
  “I had to see where you've been going off to everyday, what are you doing here?
  “Its none of your business why-”
  “It is my business if you’re running off and cheating on me.” He says interrupting her.
  “You really think I would do that to you?” she said feeling hurt, while a couple of tear’s form in her eyes. “I would never do that to you, ever. I love you so much, that even thinking that way hurts me. Do you really wanna know what I have been doing?”
  “Of course I do, I want an explanation for everything.”
  “Well, to tell you, you have to know what I am first.”
  “What do you mean ‘what you are’?”
  “I’m a vampire, Justin” she says turning away from him. “I didn't want you to find out this way, or find out at all, I've been so scared to tell you, cause I didn't know how you would react to it. Who would want to be with a blood sucker?”
  Justin starts to feel frightened. But then Iris starts to explain what she’s been doing, and why she has been. He understand at what she is doing, and that she wouldn't want that secret out. She feels relieved that he accepted who she was and that he wasn't afraid of her.
  They hear movement coming from the bed. The man, Chris’s dad, wakes up and see’s them in the room. He grabs a gun from under the pillow and shoots them both. Both Iris and Justin get injured, but Iris heals up fast from her vampire blood, Justin, on the other hand, doesn’t heal fast. So Iris gives him a few drops of her blood on his wound to heal him.
  The man is holding the gun up to their heads when suddenly another gun shot is fired. Chris is standing at the door of the bedroom with a gun in his hands, and his dad falls to the ground with a bullet in his head. Iris jumps up quickly to protect Justin if he tried to do anything.
  “What are you doing here? Why did you come as well?”
  “I had to make sure you were going to follow through with what I asked, but when I saw him pull the gun and that your husband had followed, I knew i had to step in and kill him myself.” Chris says putting away the gun.
  “Why didn't you just do that in the first place? Rather than make my wife go through all that nonsense?”Justin said getting up angry.
  “I wanted to have a little fun. And, as promised, I release you from your deal with me. What I wanted to be done is done, so you are free.”
  Iris was so relieved to hear that she was free. They all left and went their separate ways. No one found out about Iris’s secret, and Chris got the family fortune. So everyone was happy. For now.
